Executive Summary


The purpose of this survey is to figuring out the respondent opinions about art creation named movie.

Conclusions are interesting to be continued in a deeper and wide ranging research about movie as the most influencing factor to global culture’s changes and as the industrial commodity that might impacts on national strength.  

Introduction

This questionnaire’s result relates to respondent’s point of view on the movie either it’s as an art or an entertainment.

There were 15 (fifteen) respondents had been answered the questionnaires voluntarily.

The statistical analysis results is showing a relationship between movie and respondent’s perception considering variation of age, sex, monthly income, storyline preferred and also their vision about movie that can influence a culture.

Findings

There are three trend of percentage showing respondent’s choices i.e.; above 50%, between 25%-50%, and below 25%.

Explanation of Figure 1;

According to Histogram Trend of > 50%, there are some interesting points;
· Male and female in balance quantity with range of age among 20-29 years old.  
· Have monthly income above 5 millions IDR, love art and watch movie more than3 times a week.
· Like both non linear plot and reboot/prequel movie’s type.
· Prefers Hollywood’s production because its percept has reasonable storyline.
· Movie’s quote becomes an inspiration in true daily life.
· Choose movie’s producer or executive producer as the best carrier in movie industries.
· Agree that movie has been influencing both moral and lifestyle.

Explanation of figure 2;

According to Histogram Trend between 25%-50%, there are some interesting points;
· Range of age 30-39 years old.
· Love movie but like art moderately.
· Enjoy movie with friend, prefers both drama and action genres.
· Title and actor/actress as the most important factor to choose movie.
·  Every movie has its own moral messages both peace and humanity.

Explanation of figure 3;

According to Histogram Trend of <25%, there are some interesting points;
· Range of age in 40-50 years old.
· Hardly ever to watch movie.
· Asia and East Asia’s country have potentiality becomes Hollywood’s competitor.
· Have uncertain monthly income.
· All agree that movie isn’t only art creation but also have capabilities to influences both moral and lifestyle.  

Conclusions

·     Movie is art creation which has been modified becomes an industrial commodity that gains its audience who has their own income, in range of age which can very easy being influenced both morally and up dated lifestyle.  
·    Hollywood’s has their huge benefit due to their advantages as movie maker in either storyline or its technology. Therefore no matter if movie player devices are made by whatever country, but the movie must be made by Hollywood.
And then, global royalties of movie industries has become a beneficial economic strategy that supports USA.
·      Movie becomes an important part in globalization era to delivers lifestyle progressively and a smart way to gets economical benefits.
·     Indonesia is one of many East Asia countries. And this region is predicted as a Hollywood’s competitor. Therefore Indonesian movie maker still has an opportunity to create many movies which have storyline that might inspire life spirit of the audiences, especially for the youth.

Recommendation

This questionnaire assessment’s results can be presented to Indonesian movie makers in regards the quality improvement effort for Indonesian movies.
